Smt. Pratima G. Dhond

Born and brought up in Panaji Goa, Mrs. Dhond is a graduate of commerce with diploma in Hotel Management. She is into hospitality and food processing industry.

Mrs. Dhond is actively involved in many social organizations in general and women empowerment in particular. She was a part of a number of Indian delegations to Australia, Colombo, Egypt, South Africa, Germany and Nepal. She also attended National Conference at various places in India as well.

Mrs. Dhond is the Chairperson of “The Women’s Co-operative Bank Ltd.” Goa for more than two decades.

She has served as the Chairperson of the “Women’s Wing” of Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) and as the Hon. Treasurer of the Managing Committee of GCCI. At present she is the Hon. 2^nd Vice President of GCCI.

On the social front Mrs. Dhond is a very active Rotarian and has served as the Charter President of Rotary Club of Miramar and as the Assistant Governor of the Rotary International District 3170 as well.

She is a member of renowned organisations like Inner wheel, Indian Red Cross Society- Goa Branch, Goa State Women’s Federation, National Association for the Blind and so on.

Mrs Dhond was a National basketball player and was selected to represent India in the Asiads. She is a very good Athlete, Singer and dancer as well.

Mrs. Dhond is the recipient of a number of awards and recognitions some of them are:-

• The Student of the year of Peoples High School in the year 1979.
• Girl Student of the year of S.S. Dempo College of Commerce & Economics in the year 1984.
• Yashadamini Puraskar from Government of Goa in the year 2003.
• Felicitated as one of the brightest 25 Alumini by S.S. Dempo College at their “Ruby Jubillee Year” function held on 6^th January 2005.
• Peoples High School achivers award in the year 2009.
• Best Chairman of Co-operative Bank in the state of Goa in the year 2011.

Mrs. Dhond found a perfect life partner in Mr. Gaurish Dhond, a hotelier and businessman of Panaji and a well known social worker. She is blessed with three children, Viraj who is into hospitality industry, married to Dr. Shalmali, a Periodontist, Sairaj who is a Law graduate and the founder and CEO of “Wakao Foods”, married to Dr. Sajal a Gynaecologist and a daughter Simran, who is a budding lingerie designer currently with Nykaa fashionable.

           Mrs. Dhond is a doting grandmother to two boys, Vanshraj and Yuvraj.

Mrs. Bhavana Saiprakash Raikar

• Bcom Graduate from MES college Vasco Da Gama. Topped the College under Bombay University, Goa State in the year 1985.
• Certified Associate of The Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB)
• Post Graduate in Computer Applications.

She started her career as a finance professional in Bank of India, where she derived 15 years experience, after which she joined her Husband in their own business.

• Presently Partner in Bhavana Earthmovers engaged in Hiring of Earthmoving Equipments , Machinery and Barges and Partner in M/s Bhavana Enterprises engaged in Restaurant business.
• She is also Vice Chairperson of The Womens’ Cooperative Bank Ltd.

On the social front,

• She is presently The President of Rotary Club of Miramar.

In the past, she has held various posts like:-

• Past Secretary & chairperson of Panaji City Ladies Circle.
• Past Secretary ISO, Treasurer & President of Inner Wheel Club of Panaji.
• Mrs. Bhavana Raikar is also a life member of Red Cross Society & a Member of Panaji Ambulance & Welfare Trust.

She is happily married to Mr.Sayiprakash Raikar, a business man and blessed with two daughters, Dr. Namrata, who is a Gynaecologist by profession and Dr. Mallika, who is a Dentist and Health Care Manager and son-in-law Mr. Manoj Shet, a finance professional.
